Our cheer programs are open to athletes ages 5-14. No experience is required!!

For the 2024 season, Eastside Raiders Football and Cheer Team will be a part of the Sound Mind Sound Body Youth Association a division of AYF/AYC (American Youth Football and Cheer Association) .
CHEER PROGRAMS
SIDELINE CHEER
Sideline Cheer is a fun instructional level of cheer which teaches the basic principles of cheerleading and teamwork, while still having FUN!!! Our sideline cheerleaders will cheer at home and away games on the weekends and perform at the local league competition. Sideline cheer participants are ages 5-14, participants must be 5 years old by July 31st.
COMPETITIVE CHEER
Our competitive levels are broken up into four divisions: Division 8, 10, 12 and 14 (ages 7-14). Competitive Cheer is a dedicated sport that requires full participation and commitment from each athlete. The season starts in June and concludes in December with Nationals. Competitive Cheer will compete at the local league Competition; then the Regional Competition (if qualifying) in November; then Nationals (if qualifying) the 1st week in December.
Competitive Cheer will also cheer at home and away games that are played on the weekends that start at the end of August. The regular season ends at the beginning of October and playoffs continue until the beginning of November. Cheerleaders will continue to cheer for football teams at games as long as they continue in playoffs.

We do not hold tryouts for our competitive cheer program. Athletes are placed on a team based on their age as of July 31st and skill level.
